Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is the next frontier. As Machine Learning and Generative AI continue to advance, threat actors are using AI to increase the effectiveness of their attacks. Whether through AI-enhanced social engineering attacks or sophisticated malware that current methods cannot detect, AI is changing the threat landscape. It is imperative that students in the field of cybersecurity be taught to use AI to strengthen defensive measures. This paper outlines the need for and recommended best practices for implementing AI training in cybersecurity education to ensure that the defenders of our data are prepared for the next virtual battlefield.
